4.5 years & ECS
In our ECS Program, play is respected as the primary vehicle for early learning. Children use play to model, create, explore, problem solve, interact socially, pretend and dream. Our early childhood educators excite curiosity, stimulate creativity, and encourage the development of problem-solving skills. We provide opportunities to create and expand children’s cognitive, language and motor skills, and help every child better understand themselves and the world in which they live.
The curriculum is child-originated and teacher-framed, and the environment reflects the children’s interests, learning styles, families and cultures. The children are provided challenges that are carefully aligned to their current level of development, while also focusing on knowledge and skills that are on the upper edge of their abilities.
Children are provided a safe and respectful environment, in which they are free to express themselves in a developmentally appropriate manner, and where they are admired for their individuality.
The children regularly enjoy special visitors to the centre in order to enhance the fun and learning already provided by our qualified and dedicated staff. In addition to daily outings, age-appropriate, well-supervised field trips are sometimes offered for extra fun and educational value.
