4 year olds
Welcome to the Yellow Room!
The Yellow Room is full of all kinds of energy – 4 Year olds who are actively learning about sharing and cooperative play! This room has two outdoor times a day, lots of dress up & dramatic play, play dough, blocks & puzzles, cars & toys, singing & stories.
At this age children are all learning to speak using descriptive words, tell the storey of a picture, cut, color, and draw fun pictures. They are learning to take turns and share, and play near and talk to other children while continuing our own play. (Often it looks like they are playing together). Four year olds are learning to manage their own buttons, and zippers. For Gross motor they can stand on one foot for a few seconds, try to hop on one foot, go up and down stairs alternating feet, and can catch a large ball with outstretched arms,
